生物医学工程学科是以解决医学中的有关问题，保障人类健康，为疾病的预防、诊断、治疗和康复服务的一门学科。是一门具有高度综合的交叉学科，这是它最大的特点。

二、考试内容

北京大学生物医学工程专业博士研究生招生为资格审查加综合考核形式，由笔试+专业面试+英语口语构成。其中，综合考核内容为 :

1、我院根据申请人的申请材料，进行审核。根据审核结果，择优确定进入考核的候选人;3月份确定复试名单。

2、根据各专业的具体要求采取综合面试的方式进行差额复试，对学生的学科背景、专业知识水平、科研能力及学术潜力、逻辑思维与表达能力、外语口语水平等方面进行考察;

3、复试时间一般安排在3-4月份。申请人须向复试小组作报告，内容包括个人科研经历和成果介绍、对拟从事研究的领域的了解和看法、本人拟进行的研究工作设想及理由等，时间不少于30分钟;

4、面试不合格者均不予录取。对于合格考生，从中择优确定拟录取名单，报经研究生院批准后公示十个工作日。
